LENGUA ESPAÑOLA
Bubion is the most beautiful and most sought after of the historic white villages of La Alpujarra of Granada. Next to its 16c. church stand the remains of an Arabic fortified tower. There is also a typical house/museum near the townhall square. Though tranquil and off the tourist bus route, the village boasts some of the best hotels, restaurants and bars of the region and provides excellent shopping for local handicrafts and local produce. It has a cyber café and supermarkets. There are weekly street markets in most villages of La Alpujarra. The largest being in Orgiva, at 25mns' drive. Many sporting and other activities are at hand: bird wathing, walking, paragliding, horseback riding, rambling, trekking, climbing, mountain biking etc. Classes of art, photography, dancing, music, yoga and languages are available within a short radius. Granada City with its famous Alhambra Palace is about an hour away; so is the Costa Tropical. The ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada at less than 2 hours , Almeria and Malaga airports are at 2 hours drive respectively and Granada airport at 1hr30mns. |
